- Learn Paint Shop Pro by making background for image
- Tutorial is written for Paint Shop Pro X2 ...
PREVIEW
STEP 1
- Create new image 400 x 400 and fill with color #d9d9ff
STEP 2
- Here is the fun part, create new layer named BgLine1 -> choose freehand selection tool feather_0 -> draw a selection like below (still don't click ok yet)
- Keep playing around until you have a lot of line cutting each other (you don't need to be extractly like my image below) -> fill with color #800000 -> ctrl + D
- Right click on the layer BgLine1 -> Duplicate -> named BgLine2 -> ctrl + M
- Right click on the layer BgLine2 -> Duplicate -> named BgLine3 -> ctrl + I
- Right click on the layer BgLine3 -> Duplicate -> named BgLine4 -> ctrl + M
- I know it looks so complicated, let's give it a better feeling -> change opacity layer BgLine1 to 10, BgLine2 to 30, BgLine3 to 50, BgLine4 to 70
STEP 3
- Its quite tricky in this part. You want to find an image (or edit them yourselves) with a character in the middle (or side), the overall background of it is not too dark (work best with colorful color like orange, red, blue...). For this tutorial, save the picture below and add it as the top layer of your image -> change name to MainImage
- Right click on layer MainImage -> Duplicate
CONGRATULATION !
- This is another example, the bot layer MainImage I still choose style_HardLight but the top layer MainImage I choose style_Darken
- For this I change background color to #404040 to have a darker effect
